Pangbourne
- 55 miles A ride that rarely seems
to feature as a club run, probably because of the lack of cafe;
still the roads aren't too bad.
- At Streatley
, go up the hill on the Newbury road to the village of Aldworth.
- Turn left at the Four Points pub and follow the road through
to Ashampstead Common.
- About three miles after Four Points, there is a turning on the
left (signposted to Pangbourne) which, somewhat unsurprisingly,
emerges in a village of that very same name. (Alternatively, you
can lark about in the lanes a bit more between Bradfield and Tidmarsh).
- From Pangbourne, take the B471 under the railway line to Crays
Pond; right then left at the crossroads brings you out in Woodcote.
- Turn right on the A4074 then left to Checkendon and Stoke Row,
from where the route back through Ipsden Heath is the same as
the Henley
Ride.
