Aylesbury - 60 miles
  • At Thame , take the A418 (direction Aylesbury); then fork to the right after a mile into Haddenham.
  • Go straight through Haddenham and follow the minor road to Stone, where you come out on the A418 again a couple of miles from Aylesbury.
  • In Aylesbury, following the signs for the A41/Bicester; about a mile out of the town, take the minor road that forks off to the left (signposted, if I remember rightly, Whitesfield Farm / gated road). Follow this road over a crossroads to Quainton;
  • At Quainton continue straight through to a T-junction. Turn left, and follow this road to Edgcott (a very narrow road but with a very good surface).
  • In Edgcott, turn left again, then right at the T-junction to skirt round the back of Marsh Gibbon.
  • Back via Blackthorn, Ambrosden and the Otmoor road.
